NESEP members have the opportunity to access a number of training packages aimed at social and other businesses throughout the North East. This includes; Apprenticeship, Short Courses, Skills Support for the Unemployed, and Functional Skills.
Their Apprenticeship training packages are delivered within the working environment, employees are assessed by work products, observations of practice, discussions of experience and other forms of work related evidence.
Usually apprenticeships are delivered over a 12 or 18 month period and a team of expert assessors will visit the workplace once a month for around 1 – 2 hours to work with employees in achieving the apprenticeship.
All employees will also have to commit to working in their own time as they will be given a number of different assignments to complement the work they are doing within the workplace and with the assessor.
We currently offer apprenticeships in the following skills:
- Business Administration Level 2 & Level 3
- Team Leading Level 2 & Management Level 3
- Health and Social Care Level 2 & Level 3
- Social Enterprise Level 3
Who can do an apprenticeship?
- You must be aged 16 +
- Work between 16 – 30 hours
- Not have a degree (in any subject area)
