Our friends at Media Cultured CIC are asking for your support for a new ‘social cohesion’ campaign that is to coincide with its rebrand to ‘UNITY-W.I.S.E.’
It has made great strides as a social enterprise and have “pioneered” approaches to social cohesion objectives these past 4 years. Over this time Media Cultured has worked with schools, colleges, sports clubs, faith groups and private businesses both on a local and national level. It has directly engaged with over 700 teachers, trainers, lecturers and estimates the wider impact will have made a difference to over 20,000 individuals, this includes children and vulnerable people.
From the murder of MP Jo Cox, to the “sharp” rise in racism post Brexit , to the threat from ISIS, the continued rise of far-right groups in Europe and with the election result in America causing concern – it’s time to take the next steps in our battle to unite communities across the UK and to beat the “cancer” of ignorance ultimately worldwide.
It is with these circumstances in mind that Media Cultured CIC (Unity WISE) is asking for your support to fund a campaign designed to fight all of these threats. Through a crowd funding/sponsorship approach, it hopes to raise a minimum of £10,000 from which we will look to provide FREE resources and support to schools, colleges and various organsiations in their on-going efforts to challenge racism, Islamophobia, anti-Semitism and radicalisation.
You can help by contributing as follows:
· £100 – Unity WISE will deliver an assembly to a school of your choosing in the North East of England that features our award winning approach to promoting community cohesion.
· £500 – Unity WISE will deliver 2 workshops to up to 20 staff at time at a school in the North East and support them with understanding issues around radicalisation and extremism.
· £1000 – Unity WISE will deliver a ‘train the trainer’ session for up to 20 staff and provide a 1-year licence to that organisation (anywhere in the UK) to deliver its workshops to staff/students and enable you to promote curriculum and social cohesion objectives.
· £10,000 -Unity WISE will deliver a full-day ‘train the trainer‘ session for up to 10 (TEN) schools/businesses/organisations from a designated location in the UK to cover a specific geographical area with 2 staff/employees from each receiving this “groundbreaking’ training and resources but also insight from a senior academic on the causes of and cures to extremism/fascism/Islamophobia.
