MAG is looking for a Finance Officer with a great eye for detail and plenty of enthusiasm for a varied and challenging role. They will get to use their knowledge and skills in Excel and book keeping to support our life saving work around the globe from our HQ in Manchester as part of a fast paced finance team. This is a great opportunity for a candidate to use their finance skills and experience to be part of a Nobel Peace Prize winning international charity.
Our Finance Officers provide an important bridge between the finance managers who are based overseas in our programmes and our HQ, producing central management accounts. Finance Officers also review variances on contracts and create financial reports for our donors and budgets for proposals. You’ll therefore need motivation and great communications skills as well as a background in reporting financial information, including data analysis, variance investigation and general bookkeeping.
A willingness to travel to cover and support our finance managers overseas when required is necessary as candidates could have the opportunity to travel to support MAG’s work overseas, in locations like Cambodia, Vietnam, Lebanon and Angola. Experience in theNGO/charity sector is not required but an enthusiasm for being a team player in an international charity is. You can be part of an organisation which saves lives around the world on a daily basis, whilst still growing, learning and developing in your successful finance career.
