Under the guidance of the project management team and your line manager, the post holder is responsible for the day to day delivery of a high quality support services in line with this job description and project policies, procedures, targets and outcomes.
SWR Mind’s Side by Side model of service delivery aims to help people with mental health problems to become equal, active, included and healthy by supporting them to tackle the issues in their lives that may be obstructing this. The post holder and a team of trained volunteers will provide:
Social, Emotional and Practical support, Information and Advocacy on a short, medium or longer-term basis as needed. All will directly support people or help them find and use appropriate support in their local communities, and beyond, e.g. leisure, education, health, employment, and environment. Side by Side has an outcomes focus and a commitment to quality. Volunteers will be supported by the post holder.
Full clean driving license and access to a car is required. There are two posts available, one based in Scarborough and one in Whitby.
SWR Mind is a registered charity, providing support to adults with mental health problems in Scarborough, Whitby and Ryedale. Our support is designed to help people:
